$4.5 Million in Sales and a 58% Sell Through Rate Power the 2024 Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction

For the final time in Carlisle in 2023, the Carlisle Auctions team turned the lights on at the Carlisle Expo Center and welcomed well over 400 consignments spanning decades of automotive excellence for the Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction.  This was auction three of four this year and when the proverbial dust settled, saw Carlisle Auctions move 58% of its confirmed lots, plus notch $4.5 million in total sales.  Best of all, four of the Top 5 vehicles sold were six-figure totals, including the top seller; a 1966 Shelby GT350H, which yielded $210,600.

As the stars of the event (the cars and trucks) rolled into the lots of the Carlisle Expo Center for the grand two-day auction (September 28-29), there was a buzz in the air amongst the throngs of buyers and sellers who spent time reviewing them as part of preview day and in the minutes leading up to each day’s auction.  400+ cars were promoted for sale, but demand was such that over 450 crossed the block.  From the 1930s to the modern day, each vehicle glistened in the sun and shined under the stage lights in anticipation of its sale.

Once the auction started on Thursday, September 28, and continued through the final smack of the gavel on Friday, September 29, the Expo Center and its adjoining lots were hopping.  The sights, sounds, and smells made the auction a true sensory experience.

The top five (5) selling cars totaled nearly $620,000.  In addition to these top performers, the popular All-Truck Hour continues to yield top-dollar results.  A large portion of the trucks that crossed the block on the 28th sold and just like the auction gallery itself, the variety of trucks ran the gambit.  All dollar amounts include applicable fees associated with the sale.

"Thank you to all the buyers and sellers who helped make this a successful Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction,” noted Tony Cline, Director of Auction Operations.  “The popular All-Truck Hour continues to be a real crowd-pleaser and it’ll be back as part of future auction events,” continued Cline.  “We now set our sails toward Lakeland, Florida for our Lakeland Fall Collector Car Auction on Friday and Saturday, November 10-11 at the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus."

If making it to Florida isn’t part of your travel plans, the next Carlisle-based auction is April 18-19 and takes place as part of Spring Carlisle 2024 (April 17-21).  As noted by Cline, the next Carlisle Auctions’ event is in Florida, with another in March of 2024 too.  The opportunity to secure an investment that truly accelerates or sell for top dollar is open and ongoing.  Call 717-960-6400 or visit CarlisleAuctions.com to learn more.
